Showing up to openly endorse senior Samajwadi Party pioneer Azam Khan, BSP supremo Mayawati on Thursday said his proceeded with detainment is being viewed as a “strangulation of equity” by the everyday person.

Supporting Khan, the BSP president said, “In this arrangement, the issue of persistent disdainful and fear (like) activity by the UP government on its adversaries and saving senior MLA Mohammad Azam Khan in prison for around more than two years is in the news which, according to individuals, in the event that not strangulating equity then what.”

Khan, a senior SP pioneer and MLA from Rampur, is at present in prison on a few charges, including defilement. He has been stopped in Sitapur prison for more than two years.
