The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday moved DIG Upendra Kumar Agarwal, heading the SIT testing into the Lakhimpur Kheri Violence, to Gonda yet will keep on administering the examination.
While moving Agarwal to Gonda from the UP PHQ, the state police base camp clarified that it was a normal exercise and he will keep on heading the Special Investigation Team set up to test into the October 3 Lakhimpur Kheri savagery in which eight individuals, including four ranchers, were killed.
Agarwal is a 2005-bunch IPS official of the Uttar Pradesh framework.
According to the UP PHQ’s exchange notice, five different IPS officials have been given new postings too.
When gotten some information about Agarwal’s exchange, UP Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar advised PTI that he will keep on driving the SIT group examining the Lakhimpur Kheri case.
