A flight from Budapest conveying 183 Indians abandoned in Ukraine arrived in Mumbai on Thursday, an authority said.

A newborn child was among the travelers, the authority said. Union minister Raosaheb Danve invited travelers of the third clearing departure from Budapest to Mumbai, when the Air India Express Flight IX 1202 arrived here around 5.30 am.

“I have been asked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to invite you. There were around 17,000 Indians, including understudies, abandoned there (in Ukraine) and the PM began Operation Ganga to empty them,” Danve said, collaborating with travelers, large numbers of them understudies, inside the airplane.

Around 4,000 to 5,000 Indians had been brought back up until this point and the activity would keep on bringing back those actually abandoned there, the pastor said.

An Air India Express flight conveying 182 Indians from Ukraine had arrived in Mumbai from the Romanian capital Bucharest on Tuesday morning.

That was the subsequent departure flight worked to Mumbai from Bucharest to bring back Indians from war-desolated Ukraine since February 27. PTI
