India to resume scheduled international flight services from 27 March, almost after two-year break

The public authority on Tuesday said it has chosen to cresume scheduled international passenger commercial flight services to and from India from March 27 following a total two years of suspension, as there has been significant decrease in the Covid-19 disease cases in the country.

In a request the common flight controller DGCA said, “…the skillful authority has chosen to continue planned business global traveler administrations to/from India with impact from March 27, 2022 for example beginning of summer plan 2022. Appropriately, the planned global traveler administrations to/from India will stay suspended till 2359 hrs IST on March 26, 2022.”

The DGCA in its organization additionally said the air bubble game plans will likewise stand renounced from March 27, 2022.

“This large number of worldwide flight tasks will be dependent upon severe adherence to the Ministry of wellbeing and Family Welfare’s rules for global travel, which was given on February 10, 2022 and as changed chance to time.”

The administrations of planned worldwide business traveler flights are suspended in India since March 23, 2020, because of spread of Covid-19 diseases across the globe. In any case, unique worldwide flights have been working among India and 37 nations since July 2020 under air bubble plans.

On the choice of the public authority, Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “After pondering with partners and keeping in view the decrease in the Covid-19 caseload, we have chosen to continue worldwide travel from March 27 onwards.” He proceeded to add that with this progression, “I’m sure the area will arrive at new statures.”

Only 3,993 new COVID-19 contaminations – the least in 662 days – were recorded in India on Tuesday, as per the information shared by the MoHFW. PTI
