The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Tuesday said it has gotten 7.5 lakh applications under the “Agnipath” enlistment plot.
The enlistment cycle under the plan started on June 24 and finished on Tuesday.
After the plan was disclosed on June 14, brutal fights against it shook a few states for almost a week and different resistance groups requested its rollback.
“The internet based enrollment process directed by IAF towards Agnipath Recruitment Scheme has been finished,” the IAF said on Twitter.
“Contrasted with 6,31,528 applications before, which was the most elevated in any enrollment cycle, this time 7,49,899 applications have been gotten,” it added.
Under the Agnipath conspire, those matured among 17-and-a-half and 21 years would be enlisted into the military for a four-year residency and 25 percent of them will be drafted for standard help consequently.
