A nearby court here on Thursday gave process (summons) to Shiv Sena pioneer Sanjay Raut on a criticism grievance recorded by BJP pioneer Kirit Somaiya’s better half Medha Somaiya.

The Sewri metropolitan judge’s court has coordinated Raut to show up before it on July 4.

Somaiya, in her protest, has guaranteed that Raut had made outlandish and totally disparaging charges against her and her better half, blaming them for being engaged with a trick worth Rs 100 crore over the development and support of a few public latrines under the purview of the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation.

“The assertions made by the denounced to the media are in essence disparaging. The assertions have been made to censure my personality according to the overall population,” the objection expressed.

Somaiya encouraged the court to give process or a notification to Raut and start procedures against him on the charges of criticism as characterized under segments 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. PTI
